Wills and Trusts

Proper Estate Planning is one of the most important gifts a person can give to their loved ones.  If a person dies without a will then the State of California will determine how the estate (the real and personal property of the decedent) will be divided.  The process can be long and costly and place a heavy burden on the loved ones left behind.

Many people think that Trusts or other Estate Planning is only for the wealthy.  Such assumptions are wrong.  A proper Estate Plan can save money, time, and ensure that your wishes are followed.  It has been estimated that less than 1/3 of Americans have a Will or Trust.  Approximately, half of Americans over age 55 have a Will or Trust and most of them lack Health Care Directives, Power of Attorneys, or their planning is out of date.
