James A. McFall has been in private practice since 1985. His practice includes insurance coverage, bad faith litigation, general civil litigation (including both personal injury and business litigation), estate planning, probate, and Appeals. He has argued numerous Appeals before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Second District Court of Appeal, and the Fourth District Court of Appeal.
Mr. McFall has been a frequent speaker and lecturer on insurance coverage, mold, and environmental issues. He previously served on the Defense Research Institute (DRI) Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (TRIA) Subcommittee, the Steering Committee for DRI’s Law Practice Management Committee and on DRI’s Insurance Law Committee. From 2007-2009, he was named one of San Diego’s Superior Lawyers in Insurance Coverage by the Publisher of Law & Politics Magazine. Since 2013 he has annually been recognized as one San Diego’s Top Lawyer’s in San Diego Magazine. Mr. McFall enjoys a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating (its highest rating).
